We are looking for
Platform Tech Lead to join the Apliteni Platform Infra team. The team’s mission is to accelerate value delivery (Lead Time Reduction), reduce cognitive load for engineering teams, and develop the platform into a mature, measurable, predictable, and scalable system.

5–8+ years of experience in DevOps/Platform Engineering.
✔
Technical leadership: architecture, mentoring, code review, leading a sub-team.
✔
Production experience with Kubernetes (GKE/EKS).
✔
Hands-on experience building CI/CD, Observability, and self-service solutions.
✔
Strong experience with AWS or GCP.
Bonus: experience building internal platforms and improving Developer Experience.

Example Responsibilities
✔
Conduct an architectural audit of the current platform (Kubernetes, CI/CD, Observability, databases) and prepare a development roadmap.
✔
Design XaaS components and self-service interfaces for product teams.
✔
Build a predictable Scrumban process: WIP limits, removing blockers, improving prioritization and task decomposition.

Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo.

Required Skills
✔
Deep expertise with Kubernetes at a platform level: scaling, networking, RBAC, operators, CRD, ingress, service mesh.

Ability to design cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), knowledge of HA patterns and cost control.

Strong proficiency with Terraform, Helm, GitOps.
✔
Operation of data storage systems (PostgreSQL, Redis, S3): performance monitoring, configuration optimization, and ensuring high availability and stable operation.

Ability to build Observability as a product: metrics, logs, traces.
✔
Experience creating and scaling CI/CD as a service: security, standards, Lead Time optimization.
✔
Experience designing hybrid architectures (cloud ↔ bare metal).
